Considering this optic for short range (inside of 500) slow target shooting on paper.

Want SFP and like the wide FOV.

Read in another thread they are made by LOW. Curious about the 56mm objective and 30mm tube combo.

Any experiences or thoughts would be appreciated.

I have one on a pure woods whitetail hunting rifle, love it for that with green illuminated MIL reticle, extremely bright glass, and the ability to dial if needed for the occasional large field or powerline that could be encountered.

Trijicon would have had a winner if they put a FFP Mil-dot in their 2-10x36. Good ole practical mil dot for a a good ole practical 556 rifle. Simple cross hairs on low power, measurement system on high power. I’d have one on all of my rifles if they went in that direction.

I do not have experience with that model. We find strong value in the LPVO, like the 1-8x Credo. The LPVO field is crowded with good products, and the Credo would be a 2nd tier scope, but highly respectable performance. Not a budget scope. If we can help you with a combo, we have some that are not listed on our website.

Keep in mind that many great scopes, like Nightforce NXS were running 30 mm tubes and 56mm objective lenses until recently, so I would not let that scare you off. You are getting lots of light in with 56mm, and just not as many turns with a 30mm tube, but for most of us, shooting under 1,200 yards, a 30mm tube is fine, or you can get a mount with 20 MOA of bias.
