Took a trip to Manners while I was in KC MO this week. First off - thanks to the nice lady at the front desk. I think she held off on going to lunch until we got there. And if you have a stock getting ready to go out the door - they look very nice. I'm sure they are done wiping my drool off them. If you wind up here, give them a call - very friendly.

Second; The Manners thumbhole stock was a real suprise. Very very comfy. The other models were nice - but the T5 stood out. They get heavy quick when you start adding adjustable this and adjustable that, but a carbon fiber without adjustable stuff was very light. I'd like to get behind one on the range some time, but I have the feeling that I'd like it. Alot. They had one stock with a mini chassis. That was pretty cool to look at in person - there aren't many of them in my part of bush Alaska. That is the primary reason I went - not any chance to look at Manners where I'm at and when you look at dropping that much coin on a stock you want to know what you are getting.
The ultralight stock that they make is also really nice - I may have to get one of those one day for my Winchester Featherweight. I like the feel better than the McMillan Edge.

Third; That folding stock is cool. Not going to buy one, I just don't need it - but the mechanism is solid. It does make for a heavy stock, but when it is locked there is no play. None at all.

Last: I want the CZ Stock. Yall can chip in for my birthday if you like.

Re: Trip to Manners

Yeah, been there a few times. Nice shop. Nice people, and nice products. I have the folder and you right, kindof heavy but it's great. Before I got it I had all these ideas of how folding it would be nice but since then the only time I fold it is to show sombody. LOL Maybe if I get a case of something for it I can utilize it properly. And also, my T5 is still just collecting dust. I love the feel but can't decide which build it needs to go towards.

Re: Trip to Manners

Just a word about the T5A. I've got one now on a .308 build and two more going on .260 and 6.5CM builds. It's a great stock. Easy to get behind, with a very neutral grip. Been addicted to thumb hole stocks since I started shooting an Anschutz free rifle in 3 pos smallbore back in the 60s. The T5 works as well or better, particularly supported.

Tom Manners is a great guy. He's helped sort out each of my builds and in fact had his crew finalize a stock for meover a weekend in order to facilitate a project. That's customer service that just won't quit. He's made me a customer for life.

Agreed on the T5A. Not that my feed back will be any kind of valuable to some of the others on here but it would just not be right if I didn't plug for Manner's since I've had first hand experience as to just how awesome Tom's customer service is when you need it.
