Going to purchase a Kowa 774 spotting scope. I'm looking for an inexspensive tripod that can be used for 80% hunting purposes and 20% range purposes. Brand names aren't important, but quality and durability is. Just curious which ones you've had luck with and which ones didn't cut it.

Probably because I use a Ray-vin scope stand,,for high power match shooting am not a hunter any more.

oh and you're buying a $1500 scope for hunting?

At the top you see TRIPOD ?

Re: Tripod Help

Spending big money for a spotting scope just to view paper seems too much for me, but we all have our opinion. You ever used an inexspensive spotting scope for hours of glassing for animals. Two words " eye strain"

I never understand why it is so hard for some people just to help out someone and answer a question. If you don't want to, then don't. I thought forums were places were like minded people got together and shared ideas and information. Sorry for thinking this was to much to do.
