I am looking to invest in a good tripod table to run my STR 80 and TerrapinX on. I have been looking at the Abel Table and the Grayops AMP. Both would require secondary investment in another min ball head or adjustable base.

Does any one have advice or experience with either of there?

How about some more options? Any products I should be considering?

I had the Gray Ops for a short period. Only cause I for damn sure wasn’t going to use it to shoot off of it. Lol. And I wasn’t able to co-align my spotter with my Binos.
So I went back to my Abel Table which my buddies make. Since I already had a mini ball head and clamp.
One other negative on the gray ops (for me) was the integrated arca mount on the bottom. It’s faced horizontal when using it for glass. And on my anvil-30, I like the lever pointed away from me vs towards me like it was using the AMP plate. And Preston couldn’t change it due to people having it mounted on their rifle, and slapping it on the tripod all together.
Would also run into problems using a fluid head from RRS with it horizontal vs vertically (more beneficial). You won’t have this problem if you run a ball head like the BH55. Since it can rotate 360 and won’t mess with the how the knobs face.
If you can live with that, it’s def well made and highly sought after.

You can easily assemble common picatinny rails in a variety of geometries to accomplish co=witnessing of devices. This setup happens to be on Swarovski tripod but any other would suffice.

Thanks for the feedback. I run an Anvil-30 on my RRS Tripp’s and completely understand your comments around the throw lever.

I was leaning towards the able because it allows me to just mount to the anvil-30 and buy a smaller “mini” ballhead for the Terrapin. Easily alignment.

You wouldnt have any pictures of you setup would you?

What product is this?

The LRF is co-witnessed to the spotter with an adapter I made and an APO Electro/Optical rail mount. Adapter was made with aluminum angle, QD rail mount and pic rail. Made a few for shooting friends of mine that have similar spotters and LRF's. Ocular ends of the spotter and LRF line up which makes it easy to switch between. RDS mounted on opposite spotter rail for quicker acquisition.

I've been using the Abel Table for the past year , and couldn't be more pleased with. Ample surface area if you wanna just put a bag on top. The Abel Table simply gives you options . M-Loc slots cut into all around, so you pick
