This was my lunch time project for a week or so.
It started out as a pile of parts in a shoebox, a 1940 marked Turkish mauser without a single matching number. It RC tested at a wopping 21 RC- So i decided to stay away from any high pressure round. A friend showed me the Rhineland arms conversion kit to .45 ACP and i thought it would make a cool suppressor host.
i cleaned it up and bent the bolt handle. Ordered a bold trigger, a hogue overmold stock, EGW mount and bolt knob, a YHM gas block and a thread protector. The only major work was turning the front of the barrel to .625 for the gas block and threading. All the other stuff was accomplished with dremel magic. Pretty much every part of the kit required a bit of fitting to make it work.
Parked the whole thing and threw it together. It recoil is somewhere between a MP5 and a light AR- so almost nothing. Without a can it is still very quiet. It shot a three shot group of right around an inch at 50yds during standing supported. i think it will be right around MOA with a decent rest and optic. It was a fun project and i spent under $400 for the whole thing. Just deciding on what can to put on it now- i gave it to my Dad for Father's day-
