What would be the max weight bullet I could shoot out of a .223 1-12" twist, 20 inch barrel? With good stability throughout acceptable ranges for this caliber? Im looking at the weatherby vanguard, but it is only available with a 1-12" twist barrel. Obviously I would like to shoot medium to heavy caliber bullets, due to the benefits...higher BC, wind bucking ability, down range KE ect....I more than likely wont be shooting at coyotes more than 500 yards, I just want the ability to get out there alittle further for some paper punching. In closing I basically want to drain out every possible amount of range I can get out of this caliber, without going to a custom build or a .223ai ect....If this means picking out a different rifle with a higher twist barrel then so be it.
