I have a R700 in 308, it says the twist rate is 1:12 but i've read that some people have bought them with with a 1:10 even though it says 1:12 on the package. How do I tell what my twist rate is?

One cleaning rod, one tight fitting patch, some masking tape, a pen and a ruler. Stick the tight patched rod in the barrel, place your mark and measure the distance it take to get a full rotation. It wont be exact but it will be very close.
