More people need to have this pounded into their heads.

A bit of historical research into the Nazi rule of Germany and Stalin's rule of the CCCP turns up many surprising similarities in how they conducted things, they just differed a bit on propaganda and symbolism.

Because in the end, the masses are stupid and there are very few people actually able to be truly "Free" and truly have a "Free" government. Way too many sheeple just want somebody to pet their wooly backsides and tell them happy little tales about how safe and "free" they are in the fold... and conveniently refuse to wonder what happens to all those that go to the "special happy pen"...

If you read Real Nazi propaganda (NOT the stupid neo-Nazi modern stuff), and listen to all their "great accomplishments"... it's not much different than what the Communists put out. And it's not actually all that much different than what these modern SJW communists put out either... Just instead of wanting to kill the Jewish Bankers blamed for the economic mess, they want to literally kill all freedom loving white men or anybody else not in full agreement with their agenda. Just instead of wanting to get rid of Jews and other undesirables, they now (literally and actual stated) want to get rid of all whites and any Asians / jews that don't support their side, but they will let a few collaborators of those races live in subjugation to help further their aims till they don't need them any more. Same basic stuff... The State is God, All must serve the State at their maximum capacity for the good of their fellow man. The Benevolent State will provide & protect. The State must be obeyed without question. All opposition and possible opposition groups must be eliminated.

Exactly, people forget that during the rise of the Nazi party, the actual communists mostly supported them as being "not exactly us, but pretty similar". Germany and the CCCP were at peace till basically Hitler decided he wanted the resources Stalin had and wasn't going to beg for it.

Another prime example, the Soviet communists were great supporters in the start of Mao and the Chinese communists, gave them tons of support and money (that we lent them) to get started and were bestest buddies.... Till the day came that it became clear that Mao was not going to make China into a "friendly satellite communist state" of the CCCP but was his own boss... Then they started their own cold war & the Soviets actually thought seriously about nuking China to keep them from having nukes.. and Mao took it seriously enough to order the people to once again start digging everything important underground.

Or for example how the Vietnamese communists don't actually have any love for the Chinese communists these days.

I know it's really tempting to latch onto the "Socialism" in "National Socialism" as proof they are "leftists" but a good history book boy would inform you that Hitler used the word socialism purely because socialism was extremely popular in Europe at the time, basically wanted to mask his scent a bit.

I asked a very simple question and quite frankly, one that I figured you were either incapable of, or unwilling to answer. You didn't disappoint.

He's been charged with several counts of murder and aggravated assault, the court entered additional helicopter footage and video from businesses showing the whole thing as well.

The question was a simple one and the intent was to investigate whether you only have remorse and sympathy for people that you consider like minded (to you), or if it extends to those that possibly disagree with you. I don't have he privilege of calling many of them friends, but certainly respect the degree of bullshit they deal with and the degree of risk they see that I avoid. We have several former and current law enforcement officers on staff, and I'm proud to say we're losing one to St. Louis Metro P.D. in a few months. I think there are certainly scimbags in uniform and problems that need to be addressed, but I could never celebrate the death or injury of a law enforcement officer.

I'll go a step further, I find the Bundy crew that Turmp pardoned both repulsive as people and consider them to be terrorists. I don't want any of them to be killed or injured, though I absolutely wanted all of them to serve their time in prison for their crimes. Ialso oppose the death penalty because I don't think it can be an effective deterrent while also respecting the principle of ensuring justice, as there's no restitution for executing an innocent person.

With all respect, I applaud your response unconditionally. I do not disagree with you that there are areas and personnel in Police Departments across the country that need to be improved and changes made. I have viewed videos of Police Shootings that were in no way justified, that we can agree on.

To go one step further, I think the death of the young woman that was killed last year in Charlotteville was a tragedy. No one should ever have to fear for their safety while protesting and exercising their first amendment rights. That goes for both sides. I do not know much in the way of "details" of what happened because I don't trust the media in general to report the facts/truth. That does not alter the fact that no one should ever lose their life in the manner that she did.

I don't have much of an opinion on the Bundy situation as it appeared to be a complete, eff'd up mess. Am I confusing that one with the "land grab" that Harry Reid (D-NV) was supposedly involved in on behalf of Chinese "investors" ? No matter, that situation should have been settled in civil court and not attempted via gun barrels. Of what I do know about the situation, Bundy was generally in the wrong.

On the death penalty, you and I are at opposite ends of the universe. My mind will never change on this. My father was murdered by a man that boasted to having killed 32 people and that my dad was number 33. If he had been caught, charged, tried, convicted and executed for any of those prior murders, my father would have lived out his life fully. Simple math. As it was, he made it to 49 years of age. Very young to have lost his life. I hold law enforcement in high regard because of all they do and risk, as well their tireless efforts to get this person off the streets and brought to justice. He was convicted of my father's murder, but plea bargained down and spent his remaining days being fed by taxpayers. My desire to have seen him executed had nothing to do with the cost or vengeance, it had everything to do with what he had taken and who he had taken it from. I believe that when you commit and act like that, you forfeit your right to exist in civil society and you should have to pay for it, commensurate to the crime committed.
