I purchased some light pipe sights for my TX 22 pistol. The video
describing the removal stated to use an Allen wrench. I tried that, the screw stripped.
After looking at a screw from a previous install, the tiny front sight screw
appeared to be a Torx head. The stripped screw came out after getting a T8 screwdriver.
there was enough of the Torx pattern in the screw head to grab with the screwdriver
and get it out. The point is ………don’t follow the sight install instructions on the YOU Tube videos.
IT AIN’T AN ALLEN HEAD SCREW FOR THE TX22 FRONT SIGHT SCREW……..IT’S A T8 TORX
HEAD ! One well know seller of after market sights says to use the Allen wrench . They are wrong
too!
