UFC 136

Re: UFC 136

i had some free tickets....gave them to some friends on friday though due to a event i couldnt get out of..still watched it at a local restaurant though

jose aldo dissapointed the hell out of me....the dude is always such a entertaining fighter....but last night his performance was flatter than day old beer

Re: UFC 136

Sorry to chime in late, but Chael's post fight interview was the best ever.

Can't wait for his rematch with Anderson. First one was great but ended poorly.

I'm interested to see if he can do it again (Chael)...heaven knows I'll be laughing at his antics until fight night.

I was there, also at the expo. Cool event but Fail Sonnen's douchebag WWF style shit was annoying.

vitor is awesome, or used to be anyway.....still probably my favorite fighter based purely on how many people he demolished when he started the game

Re: UFC 136

Vitor is awesome, I thought he was going to beat Silva but he forgot they can kick in MMA. Didn't seem to be himself that night laid back an waited, I figured he would put the beat down on him as soon as the bell rang. He is still young so he has time to win the title.

vitor and fedor have the same problem...they started relying to hard on fairy tales(religion) and slacked off saying "if i win or lose its gods will"

anytime a fighter gets really religious he is pretty much done in the fight game

Re: UFC 136

I guess im the same way I teach Sunday school, I really don't think thats the problem look at Jon Jones, Silva an many more Fighters who give the glory to God. Im not going to get biblical, I do understand that in order to get better or stay on top you have to put in the time at the Gym.

its good to have faith..dont get me wrong..

one of my best friends was very close to becoming a pro ranked boxer, and found religion...i was proud of him, getting meaning to his life and all...but he got to the point where he just sat around hoping gods will would see him to victory

his wife eventually had a meeting with their preist, him, and her because he stopped going to work and everything...if you tried to ask him why? he would say "god gives me everything i need"

so i am not saying its religion per se....what i am trying to say is some people put everything in gods hands...and just give up on themselves....i think vitor has partially done this

Re: UFC 136

No problem, I really think that Vitor came out slow because he sparred with Silva before and did want to get caught but who knows neither one of them did anything until the kick. I know this i love the sport, to bad GSP got hurt I really wanted to see him fight next weekend. BJ is good but at 155 not 170 it wont be the same but it is a good card.

GSP used to be the man....but at this point i dont care if i ever see him fight again....the dudes afraid to lose, so he has become the boring points sparring champion of the UFC..his apology for how bad the fight is at the end takes more out of him than the actual fight lol..maybe fight night will be more interesting now that he is out lol

Re: UFC 136

You got it right, I just keep hopeing he will break his new trend, but he still keep winning. That happens to alot of them to worried about losing an not fighting. I love watching local fights, touch gloves an it is on you might get to see one or maybe two fight go the distance. I've seen broken arms, flying teeth, great choke outs and knock outs plus you get to feel the action.
