I received my first rifle from Mike Bush at UGSW (BlackOps) yesterday. Mike was awesome to deal with... he always had time for me, and i made more then a few changes along the way. He's a good guy for sure.

The rifle is amazing... attention to detail is crazy, it's every bit as good as his rifles look in pics and then some. I was able to get it out and shoot a little bit this morning and it was a great experience. Every round went exactly where the crosshairs were as the trigger broke. These aren't the best groups in the world, but for me they are very impressive. This thing shoots where it's pointed.

Thanks Mike! I'm thrilled with this thing and can't wait for the next one.

Mike is a great guy and really knows how to build a Sexy Rifle!!! His fit and finish is also top notch. Customer service is great and he is one heck of a nice guy. He would be my first choice for a personal rifle for myself if I was not in the business.

I'm really happy with the T4a. I never had an opportunity to check one out prior to ordering this rifle, but since receiving it I can't imagine a better stock. I like it so much, I'm actually getting a little concerned I might not be happy with the AICS based rifle I've got in the works now.

Mark,
Coming from you that's a big compliment to Mike.

chawk,

That's one sweet rig and yes, Mike is awesome and always makes time to field questions and comments. I finally put hands on my Infidel this past week when home on business (few very short days) and can say the attention to detail is tops! Next time home I'll be able to put some rounds downrange.

How long is your barrel?
Do you know what kind of velocity you are getting? </div></div>
Barrel is 22" from the lug, not from the bolt face. I have a chronograph but the one brief opportunity I've had to shoot this rifle so far (20 rounds total) I didn't pull it out. Next time I shoot I'll use it.

Re: UGSW PERSEUS 6.5 creedmoor

I finally had a chance to shoot the rifle this evening for the second time. I shot prone out of the bed of my truck in order to get above the weeds.

I didn't get a chance to shoot over the chronograph due to lack of time, but I did get the scope box tested. To start off, I fired a three shot group in order to fine tune my zero from the first outing. The group measures in the .2's including the cold bore shot (first shot out of the rifle in almost two weeks).

IMG_20110727_202025.jpg

I adjusted zero down .1 mil and fired at the aiming point for the box test. Then dialed up 10mils for a shot. Then down and right 5mils for a shot, then back to zero for a shot. Here's the aiming point with first and last shot.

The scope tracked perfectly throughout the test and returned to zero.

It was getting dark by the time I was through with that, but I wanted to shoot one more group. I didn't have any more dots on the cardboard, so I dialed the scope off of the box test zero and fired a group.

I rushed a little and I think it shows as I strung the group horizontally (the camera is turned), although for me this is still a really good group.

I couldn't be happier with the rifle Mike and team put together for me. Next time out I've got to set up the chronograph and then start working out the dope.

Re: UGSW PERSEUS 6.5 creedmoor

I've got a few more results from today while figuring out my zero with the AAC Cyclone on it...

Turns out it's just a .5 mil shift down with the suppressor.

Both groups are 5 shots.
