Would anyone like to share their opinion of the S&B Ultra Short low profile elevation turret ? The MTC with larger detents every 1mil of rotation specifically. Thumbs up or down ? I understand it's purpose and it's military roots. But is it annoying to use ?

Didn't care for it personally.. always over-shoot whatever number I was trying to hit if it was close to the MTC "click".

18 MIL per rev is far too dense in my opinion as well.

No MTC and 12 MIL per rev would be about perfect.

I think you can send it in to SB and they can remove the MTC

I like the short turrets just fine but as stated above, 18 MIL per rev is pretty dense. It makes it tougher to do small adjustments. Other than that, I dont mind them at all. Oh, and I can do without MTC.

Short caps are the hotness, MTC is a pain in the ass. I do wish the windage cap was similar to the elevation cap instead of just capped, I’d like to be able to dial windage if I wish. At least on a 3/5-20.

Like others have mentioned I almost always overshoot the heavier mil clicks and have to dial back, you just get used to it I guess, but I do like how low profile they are and the locking mechanism.

I loved them personally. The low profile, the easy/fast lock, the MTC.

As others have said if I was trying to dial 2.1 it wasn't common to jump to 2.2 or 2.3 and have to go back .1 or .2 but you get used to it. Setting the zero was easy too. It is my favorite turret of any I've ever used.
