Looking for good/bad reviews on some vertical grip carbon stocks.

Long action
M5 cip length
Proof sendero contour

Ag
Iota
Stockys
Proof
Manners
Mcmillan

Trying to keep it 2 lbs ish

Super rugged, backup rifle for clients to use when they bring their pos on a back country elk hunt

Love the EH1 also. Does your weight include bottom metal, or are we looking at stock only? Mine has the mini chassis, two flush cups, one sling stud and weighs in at 2lbs 7.75 ounces. Without the mini chassis you should be looking at sub 2 pounds (depending on your other options)

Proof started marketing their elevation stock recently. They’re advertising 20 oz, which makes it far lighter than Manners/McMillan. Believe stocky’s has the exclusive on those at the moment, but will be available other places in the future.

Ergo wise the Manners is hard to beat. I’m a fan of the eh2 and eh4. Here’s a short action eh4 with nothing but pillars in it. Note the short/thin recoil pad.

Then there’s the Gunwerks. I’m a big fan of these. Well made, and they turn them out quickly. I ordered one in the lead up to hunting season that got here in three weeks. These all come with a full length aluminum bedding block. So far on the ones I’ve ordered, their inlets are much much nicer than McMillan or Manners. This is the ClymR. Weight includes a pic rail/flush cup combo at the forend, and cups set in aluminum on both sides near the butt.

They go about the grip a little differently. Very minimalist and comfy.

Let me know if I can help out with any Manners product. We have many options for lightweight, rugger, accurate rifles you can depend on. The EH-1 or EH-5 come to mind and both being available with or without and adj cheek. We even have a new cheek pc that only weighs 2 oz. We also help out outfitters and such.

Please let me know if I can help. I can also be reached at [email protected]

Thanks!

Have a full carbon a5 stock coming from paradigm carbon, shuld be done in a week or so. Ordered thru PVA. Its a newer version of chad dixons element stock. It was a bit pricey but for a light weight mountain build, didn't want to settle on a "traditional" form of a stock to keep the weight down. For a full a5 profile with dbm. Shuld weigh around 24oz. No bedding required. Hope to take pics of the complete build once it gets to chad for assembly with a mausingfield m7.

Very interesting. I had looked at the carbon element as well. This may take some more consideration

Email incoming. I have always liked the eh1. Do you offer bottom metal inlet for hawkins?

I would check the ag stocks, the Mesa Altitude stock. I have the Mesa Altitude and really like it, it weighted 27oz it comes with pillers installed, 2 front sling studs and a rear stud.
