I just picked up this 2nd generation Glock 21. It's lightly used and the laser works fine. Even though it's marked as "Glock's 20/21 Pat. Pend." I can't find any info about it. Are these rare?

looks like a standard G21 but that laser is likely universal to both the 10MM and 45 frames. I have never seen one but there were many here today, gone tomorrow laser makers. Could be a rare find

Re: Unusual Glock 21?

In my case I had a 'rare' weaponlight that came into my hands some years ago.

Rare only makes you money if you have a serious collector looking at it. Most of the time you're better off dealing with mainstream stuff.

Same holds true for 'rare' cars, guns, TVs, computers.

Let me say this too, when it breaks, you're going to pay for it being 'rare' as well.

Re: Unusual Glock 21?

What's puzzling is there are no manufacture marks indicated anywhere. To the right of the power switch there is a roll/casting mark "Made In USA" but that's it. Therefore, I was thinking it was made specifically for Glock and installed by Glock USA after imported.

I'll contact Glock and find out what they know.

Front sight is attached, but photo angle hides it. Rear sight has been removed.

Red laser is very bright and is easily picked up at 60 feet. I have only tested inside my well lighted shop. The laser housing is aluminum and very well made. The trigger guard is somewhat reduced, but not a problem for my hands. However, heavy winter gloves could make for a tight fit. The housing and laser lens and housing are designed to be waterproof.

The real treasure is the Glock itself. Spent its life in a drawer and is devoid of handling marks. Very few round have passed through this pistol.
