We have some great book discussions here on SH. Well, here is a chance to watch and interact with some of the top military writers, historians, policymakers, etc. as part of the annual Norwich University Military Writers Symposium. This year's topic is the interesting and timely "Weaponization of Water."
This is usually an in-person event at my alma-mater. It always attracts interesting perspectives, deep thoughts and great discussion. Writers come in from all over the world for this and have included people like Tom Clancy, W.E.B Griffin, Carlo D'Este, Gen. Al Gray, Gen. Gordon Sullivan... Last year Sgt. David Bellavia attended. Too many to list. Best of all, it's all free! And even though we are not doing an in-person symposium on campus this year, it's still happening and it's all online. With some amazing high-fidelity videos, cool production segments, etc. Writers from all over the world will participate as panelists and in the audience. It's an amazing event for those who like military writing, history, policy, etc.
For those who are in the .mil or .security .diplomatic communities, there is a side seminar on Arctic Warfare that you can sign up for and receive continuing/professional education credit. Taught by Dr. Tony Piscatelli, The Arctic Warfare class runs over several evenings is also free if you are a student or in any one of the military academies (including private ones like VMI, The Citadel, etc.) and overseas academies. There is a small fee for professional attendees. Well worth it!!!!
Here's the sign-up page for both.
Share the link with your friends/colleagues and I'll post updates/signup stuff here. Going to be an amazing event! Hope to see some of you there!
Cheers,
Sirhr
