Newbie here with limited time online. Just thought opening a new topic would cut to the chase.

Question is for anyone willing to take time to give answers or opinions.

Just purchased a USO SN3 ERGO 3.2-17X for a .308 Rem 700 LTR with a 58mm objective and flip caps. Any suggestions on base, rings, ring height?

Thanks in advance.

I use USO lows on my Badger rifle with a number 7 contour barrel, it barely clears, you should be fine with a 700. I'll check when I get home, I have a 700 barreled action I can try mine on for you

Sorry for adding a topic to such a regular question, I am currently overseas so measuring is not possible as the rifle is on the otherside of the world. I was just hoping to catch someone that has a similar setup or experience with a 700 Rem LTR with a similar sized optic.

Badger base, rings, and low on the height sounds ideal with this optic correct?

Thanks for the replies guys.

I'm not sure if it will help you or not but here is my LTR with a USO 3.2-17x44 & Badger 20MOA Mount

That is one bad boy set up, some day I hope to be sporting a scope like that. "Confidence runs hand in hand with the best" Good luck with your new set up. Show us some targets. bshooter..

More than likely you will need a set of medium rings for that large objective, Seekins rings and 20moa base or NF base. Lay the rifle on its side, set the scope above it at the hieght you feel would be correct, measure from the top of the receiver to the bottom of the scope tube then add 15mm's to the dimension. Find the base you want and subtract it's height from the measurement you just calculated, that will tell you what ring hieght needs to be.

Edited to add, you will loose some clearence from the angle of the 20moa base.
