A "Space Force" is hugely wasteful and if they've got money for that then I want more back. You were guessing there were some other caveats, you guessed right. One is the "Kesselring Effect" which is basically stating that garbage goes into space and then stays there basically forever (forever as far as we're concerned). Any projectile will just keep going and going and going and when it hits other projectiles they shatter and keep going... Everything is moving 16,000 mph and shit's going in all directions and constantly colliding.
NASA tracks a lot of the bigger stuff but the smaller stuff can do just as much damage. One of the stupid things done was to dump a bunch of tiny needles over the hole in the ozone later.
The prediction is that by the time we NEED to get off this planet, that it'll be impossible to launch or build anything in orbit, that previous generations will have doomed the entire human race --so they could have a goddamn space force and 1million channels of propaganda.
There would be a whole new math of adjusting for orbital mechanics & matching trajectories etc depending on how far you are shooting and who is going what direction etc.
So is it better to use MOA or Mil scope in space? Asking for a friend.
