I was wondering if I could use my old rock tumbler as a stainless steel media tumbler for my brass? Do I just get that pin type media and go for it? I just dont have $250+ to spend on a stainless tumbler right now. Thanks

I don't know why not. Try it and see. You don't want it to spin too fast. I just did a bunch of 45acp cases and they all look better than they did brand new. In fact some were old pickups that have been laying outside on the ground for months and they all look the same now.

I have the STM kit and the tumbler is made for rocks, get you some stainless media a go for it.
As long as your tumbler is rubber coated on the inside.
It makes my brass unreal clean,Very impressed.

The thumlers model B that is sold with most of the kits was originally sold as a rock tumbler.

Sweet! I have a lortone that fits the bill! I also found a site called bear arms or something like that, they had stainless steel media pins for $7.50 per 1 lb and about $8 shipping. I'm going for it! Thanks guys
