I have a question for all of you advanced reloaders. My son is buying a rifle chambered for .260 and since the .260 is a necked down .308 couldn't I use my .308 body die to bump the shoulder on this? I'm using a Redding body die to bump the shoulders on my .308 cases which of course doesn't work the neck of the case so it seems to me that I should be able to use the same die for both cartridges.

Thanks.

You will likely get a stepped shoulder up close to the neck and that may cause interference. Internal die tolerances are pretty tight. Try one and measure it to see if you will have a problem. To be sure just get the correct die.
