using same supressor for multiple guns???

I've been away for awhile due to some surgery but now I'm ready to start shooting again.
My question is it better to have a threaded "fixed" suppressor or an adapter where I can move the suppressor between two guns.
I have a Sako TRG22 .308 and a Tikka T3x TAC a1 in 6.5CM. Even though they are both made by Sako the threads are different.
Also I would be interested in your Suppressor recommendations.

The correct terminology is "Direct-thread" and "quick-detach" or "QD" for short.

For bolt-actions and hunting and precision rifles, I like direct-thread. And for AR's and semi-auto weapons I like QD mounts. Which is why multiple cans is typically the best option.

Those are both bolt-action rifles, so I would strongly recommend the new Dead Air Nomad-LT (titanium) suppressor with 5/8x24 direct-thread attachment (included with suppressor).

Buying through Silencer Shop is the easiest way to buy a suppressor hands-down.

So I run the Thunderbeast Ultra 9 30 cal suppressor that was setup for their CB (compact brake) system. Being as it was expensive to buy one for each barrel, I opted for the Area 419 Hellfire system and adapter for Thunderbeast.

The deal that threads onto your barrel is 40 bucks I believe which is easier on the wallet that 125 bucks, it’s left hand threads for the adapter so no mater what you’ll got your can off the rifle one way or another. I’ve yet to have any issues in the 1k rounds I’ve put through the suppressor using their system and no issue with the can coming loose during strings of fire. And you can also run the Hellfire brake if you wanted to.

Cant help but to highly recommend Thunderbeast. Their cans are great and you won’t be disappointed with one

Just because you use a threaded 5/8-24 can doesn't mean you can't use it on other rifles. It's not "fixed" or permanent in any way. You take it off to clean your rifle, and can move it to any other APPROPRIATE rifle. Any other rifle that is threaded 5/8-24 and is 30 CAL or smaller.
I use QD on my ARs with my Sandman S. For my bolt guns, I use direct thread with my Sandman Ti and Nomad Ti.

I use QD on everything and move a SiCo Omega 30 around, except 22lr and 17 hmr, those share a direct thread Sparrow. I have repeatability on my rifles.
I change the QD mount to a direct thread mount to use it on my Seekins SP8 where it must thread directly since it’s inside the hand guard. I use a lubricant to keep parts from seizing up as I don’t clean the can frequently. I’ve had an issue with the mount seizing to the can before and had to send back to SiCo to get it off. If I pay attention and use the lube occasionally then no problem. I’ll likely get another just to keep on the SP8 though.

tBAC ultra 9 CB ran like a rented mule between barrels on a DTA SRS A2 (6.5 CM, 308, 7 wsm, 28 Nosler) and also occasionally on my DTA MDRX se in 223. The muzzle devices sucked to buy but now I’ve got them and love them.

One downside in the QD game is that I’ve had my suppressor carbon weld to my brake. It sucks bad. Brake came off the rifle. I’ve used a variety of adhesives to try to resolve. Eventually I learned the slow way to put a double drops of oil or something on the QD before threading my suppressor on.

This won't happen with the Dead Air KeyMo/KeyMount system. Look up some videos. They even discuss that they designed it with the big taper before the locking lugs, so that would never happen. The carbon will never go beyond the port section of the muzzle brake.

I use this. Works great. Apply every few times shooting. Takes very little.

I have the Surefire SOCOM(RC1) setup for 4 different rifles now. It can get pretty nasty and get stuck as well. I started using Permatex anti-seize on the backs of all my brakes/devices and that helped a lot. So far it has seemed to help with both unlocking the collar, and getting the suppressor off. I'm taking a class later this year, so we'll see how it does with more than ~100-200rds in one go.

OP, I only have 2 centerfire suppressors right now, and those two get shared on about 7-8 guns or so. I use the Griffin Plan A taper mount on with my REX MG7, and obviously I have to use the Surefire mount system on my SOCOM. I do like Surefire's muzzle options, its just annoying they're all $150

This is my "Can Case" ... literally everything in it is used on multiple rifles and pistols. I'm (obviously) not a fan for single-rifle direct-thread suppressors (except on my SC Sparrow-22). All the rifles I shoot have ASR Brakes for quick-changes. I also have a great tip for those that move suppressors around ... go to Amazon and get a cheap pair of Welding Gloves and a small Welding Blanket. The gloves make moving suppressors from rifle to rifle fast and easy, and the blanket allows the suppressor to cool "off" the rifle much faster than it would on the barrel when you want to put it back in the case and exit the range.

Ya I had my Surefire on one gun for about ~700ish rounds over the course of a year and never took it over. That one required a block of wood and mallet lol.

Since using anti-seize I haven't had issues. A quick brass brush with oil on the brakes/devices would also be a quick easy fix too.

Damn! That’s a lot. Yeah, I mostly never run more then 200-300rnds through it in a range outing. Have always taken it off when it’s hot and cleaned well afterwards. That being said I’m still always concerned and waiting for it to seize up. The anti seize definitely seems like a better practice. I should probably go to that but the oil hasn’t let me down the past 10yrs or so lol

Nah you're good. If it works, it ain't stupid right? ... Ya got a great deal on the SOCOM when I was younger and did not have the same knowledge or attention to detail I have now. Used to do a lot of things I'm not sure why I ever did lol.

Griffin makes a plan A direct thread mount threaded for the Sako 1/18 on their site (literally just saw it), so I can't imagine its an issue. Call them. They've been great every time I've talked to them.

You will need an M18x1 LH direct thread adapter. And if you plan on the Dead Air Nomad series, here is the proper adapter that screws into the back of the can...

OR... There is another option... IMO, not quite as good of an option as the one listed above, but it will work.

You can buy this adapter, and just screw it directly into the 5/8x24 DT adapter that already comes with the Nomad-LT.
