This past week been getting a little range time in shooting the .22 trainers. I was running low on what I had been using and decided to try some of the excess subsonics I had stockpiled. I found that I had to fine tune my shooting at bit more at 50 and 75 yards while get some range time in. It seems it made me alot more conscious of what I was doing. Especially on this past Tuesday with all the changing wind conditions. Has anyone else tried using subsonic ammunition for training?

I shoot wolf target and match extra, etc at 200yds. in my CZ452. it is phenominal. the last time out it was a little wind, maybe 3-5 mph. My horizontal string without compensating for wind was around 4.5-5 inches. However, the vertical variance was no more than 9/16 in. Incredible. One reason for this narrow vertical string is the bullet leaving the muzzle subsonic and arriving at the target subsonic, consistant flight. High vel. rounds wont do that, and especially bulk pack bullets.
