I have the civi HK MR556 and the gun runs flawless. It is a bit on the heavy side compared to other 16" AR uppers or guns. I use mine with an S&B 1-4x short dot and it does everything I want out to 500-600yds. I didn't like the HK buttstock and went with the SOPMOD stock on mine.

The ball bearings in the receiver extension to allow the stock to operate more smoothly seem like an item you wouldn't find on a military firearm... 48 years of not being necessary...

There is some typical German over engineering on the weapon for sure.

The ball bearings are adjustable and they help take the play out of the stock. I have always thought someone should come up with a way to get rid of the stock wobble. It may not be necessary but it works well.
