Around SH, we've done several things to support this charity... including the "I survived Scout" patches and some other GGWG fundraisers.

Right now, they have their raffle going on. The above link is for tickets.

Not many better charities out there!

Only 1 week left before someone wins this epic rifle, get your tickets while you can!

The rifle has one of the only Geissele Mk13 triggers and NightForce 5-25x56 Milspec scopes that are in private hands, so it's next to impossible to replicate this package! It's 100% to USMC specs and is as close as you can get to a real Mod 7 without enlisting!

Thank you very much for purchasing tickets, 100% of the sales goes to the SSA, who in turn supports our active duty and reserve USMC scout snipers!

Also, these companies really stepped up to the plate with their generous donations, without them this raffle wouldn't have happened!

Nightforce - Mil-Spec scope
Geisselle Automatics - Mil-Spec trigger
Surefire - Certificate for Mil-Spec suppressor
LaRue Tactical - Mil-Spec QD scope mount
MagPul Industries - Eight magazines
Harris Engineering - Mil-Spec bipod
VTAC - Mil-Spec sling

Any idea if it will be live streamed, not knowing when I lose kills me.

Yes, Tim Parkhurst (CEO of the SSA) will be doing a Facebook live stream of the drawing. I'll try to get a link, but I don't have Facebook, so one of you guys might have to me out with that.

Additionally, I'm going to send the raffle winner 2 boxes of Mk248 Mod 1 ammo!

Nice, hopefully there will be a link available.

I’m in it for 30 tickets and planned in 15 more if I catch it before they runs out, i’ve been buying 15 every 4-5 days.

On that strategy, so you have any idea if the tickets will be “shuffled” or if it’s like the raffle wheel were everyone stays in purchase order? I’m trying to split the numbers up, I’m sure the chances are still slim but i’d rather mix them in than have a 45 in a row chance of not being pulled.

I was in an online raffle the other day; out of 200 chances and 7 winners drawn, 3 winners were numbered less than 20, and only two were over 175, two who mixed in the large middle gap.

Thank you for the ticket purchases!

All of the tickets are going into a large container and thoroughly mixed up. It won't matter if you buy tickets together or in different "batches," they are all getting mixed up.

We're also doing a 2nd place drawing for a custom knife!

In for 8 here. I never win anything, so I've learned if it's going to happen....it'd happen within 8 tickets. I reserve the right to buy more :). That is one bad-ass system.

I just talked to Tim Parkhurst, he's going to be drawing the winning ticket 1800 Eastern Time this Saturday. He also confirmed that all the tickets will be going into a spinning raffle barrel, so every single ticket has a fair and random chance of being drawing. The drawing will be held live on the SSA's Facebook page for everyone to see (I'll remind everyone that day as well so we can all tune in), here's a link to their page: https://m.facebook.com/USMCSSA/

I got my traditional $100 worth as usual, as a member it's kind of my favorite charity.

Get some tickets folks. It's like gambling, but with better odds of winning and you're not funding casinos in the process. Of course, I did walk out of Deadwood up $150 last weekend (that's a good trip for me), so maybe my luck is on a roll?
