Looking for advice here as this will be a purchase where I likely have to trust your opinions.

let me start off by saying I have had a fair share of experience behind basically all top tier glass besides Hendzolt and TT.

My my question is, does the USO B Series use the same lens prescription as they did years ago. I may be one of the few on here that loves the Gen2 xr reticle and this is why I’m leaning USO. I currently am running a schmidt PM2 on my AT and really love the optic, but I really like the aesthetics of the USO. I was behind a few USOs years back and the glass didn’t tickle me — I’d love to know if they have improved.

I have one on order with USO. I did look through the older and now the newer B-17 model. I wasn't as impressed with the older model as I was with the newer one. The glass prescription may be the same or similar but with the larger tube and larger objective the image looked all around better to me.

My main 2 concerns with the B series is the glass and the elevation turret losing its zero because of accidental unlocking of the turret...

I have a b25 and er25. The glass on the B25 is on par with schmidt. True color, not overly bright like some scopes. I can tell you the optical clarity is not theta, but pretty close. You will not be disappointed. I am too a gen ii xr fan. Your choices are schmidt, USO, and theta.

I know everyone's opinion is different, but to me the top three would be theta / premier, mark 8, and USO / Schmidt in that order, but you really are splitting hairs. You should choose by options and reticle, not glass.

I had a B25 with the H59 in it. Great scope, clear glass, guy above described it great..., real color not as much “pop” as some others but very clear. My biggest complaint was overall length.

I am a new owner of a B25. Only had one range session so far but I really like the scope. I am coming from a Razor AMG, Bushnell ERS, Night force NXS in that order. This is the first time I have looked through a scope and said WOW this must be what people are talking about when the say 'good glass'. Not a scientific comparison, just my overall impression, I like the glass better than my AMG.

I really dig the feel of turrets as well, I found my AMG turrets to almost be overly positive for my tastes if that makes sense. The USO turrets have a great feel in my opinion. There are positive but not the point where it makes them feel cheap.

Also a thumbs up to USO customer service, they have been great to deal with.

That's great to hear, I happen to like my AMG turrets. I think they are positive and have a great feel to them. My only question is why the USO customer service line at the end? No problems with the optic I hope..

No problems, just questions when I was deciding on a scope.

That was my experience as well, they were very patient answering all my multiple emails. Hope I don't have to wait too long, its bad enough waiting for a can, but adding a new scope doubles the anxiety. What's even more, I took a chance and asked if they could retro fit their gen2 mil dot into a bravo 17, Brittany replied she would look for a left over reticle plane and get back to me. Within a few hours she replied again that they had one and the reticle plane would be able to fit into the new erector. All the quick replies, taking the time to actually look for a discontinued reticle and having looked through and played with a new B17 I submitted an order without delay.

Was my main complaint of the B-series in general. Still little room for ring mounts, huge two piece tubes...I was hoping the 3.2-17 was nearly the size of the 1-10 or somewhere around the 4-16 ATACR. The B-25 look ginormous. All the upgrades seemed like a great change but the size of the 25 bothers me. The 3.2-17 i'll probably still put on a hunting rifle. Especially if Oneil ops gets that Mil hunting reticle approved.

Please expand a little on the oneil ops hunting reticle, I have been in the dark on this one...

I made a thread on it but they’re using the T1H in MOA right now unfortunately only offered in the B-25. James said he’s trying to get them to field them in the 3.2-17 also, as a Mil version is coming.
