Hey guys. Was recently approached to trade my Nightforce Beast for a US Optics ER-25 w/ the H59 reticle. Now when considering trades I was only really looking for brands like S&B, Minox or Tangent Theta as I felt that those would be the only options which would be a step up from the Beast in terms of pure optical clarity.

My question is, where does the high end US optics scopes fall within the line of ultra top Tier Scopes in terms of the absolute best in optical performance.

To save time on anticipated comments, there is no need to restate the following "at that level, the difference in glass will not determine a hit or a miss".... "At that tier, they are all about equal and you should go with the ergonomics and setup that suit me best".... i get both those points and am only interested in glass at the moments.

if anyone has comments or ratings on the following attributes, it would be helpful.

1) Brightness of the pictures
2) Performance in Low light
3) Crispness or Clarity of the picture
4) tunneling problems
5) resolution

Comparing

S&B PMll 5-25. (Have owned)
USO ER25
Tangent Theta 5-25
Minox Zp5 5-25
Nightforce Beast (Own)

Glass is very subjective and everyone will think something different. I feel the USO ER scope I have is the best scope I've ever used or looked through. I have used many nightforce and schmidts, but they just don't work for me. However, I'm not saying their glass isn't amazing also. I personally think USO and nightforce has the best glass, but I can't get the nightforce to work for me. Just know that the 14 and newer uso glass seems to look better than the older versions.

Tangent Theta 5-25 > S&B PMll 5-25 => Minox Zp5 5-25 => March > Vortex Gen II > NF = USO = Steiner M5 = Sig Gen 6 or whatev they on > Bushnell XRS = Vortex Gen I => Steiner T5 = Bushnel DMR = BUrris XTRII

Premeir gets no mention due to no warranty (otherwise rank 2)
Sightron no mention as elevation turret has 1 set screw (on one I had)

Long story short (and may vary a little but most who HAVE OWNED will agree). GL. I think I went full retard. LOL.

^^^^^^ no idea what he just posted.

i own NF, S&B, USO, Leupold, and soon Sig and Vortrx.

the first 3 are all similar, but I "prefer" the S&B for handling. Optics seem the same, while I tend to get better light into the NF at twilight and low light, at least my perspective. For some reason, the feel and workings of the USO are not for me. NF and S&B just sappeal more to me, while quality of optics, reticle are all great. What I don't like about NF is 1) Beast turrets Are too tall, and 2) ATACR is limited in reticle selection.

The Minox zp5 is an incredible scope because it does most everything well. This is the scope that came out with the help of the premier folks. The TT will have slightly better glass I think. The toolless zero stop is a really cool feature but how often do u use it? The turret feel on the Minox is good/okayish. The 14 mil per rev is nice... however. The transition from the first to second rev is a little odd and there will be a slight miss of some tenths there. But we're talking about 14 mil. That puts us with our 6.5 Norma and almost our 6.5 Saum into transonic. So we have not used it much there. I think u have a good list of the best of the best. There is no tunneling in the Minox and FOV is pretty awesome.
