Greatest thing about the RDP reticles is the unlit center crosshair. This allows little furry creatures to not be obscured by the reticle at extreme distances.

We have the MD MOA reticle in the US Optics Field Spotting Scopes we use.
Viewing targets @ 1 mile.
I believe the MD MOA is a IPHY reticle.

can you confirm that all MDMOA recticles are IPHY?
I was unaware of this, but am excited because I own one and would like to know for sure.
Cant believe I bought this rec w/o knowing. Guess better late than never.

CMG is true MOA, not SMOA/IPHY.
Next comes the trick of making sure your knobs match your reticle, true MOA versus SMOA/IPHY.
The wonderful thing about standards is there are so many of them.

Better to test your gear an know for sure, than trust anything printed.
A good yard stick, at a known distance, will tell you what any reticle subtends. Then lock the scope down solid, an make sure the knobs are doing what they are supposed to as well.
Just because print material an knobs say one thing, could be the real truth is different.

Good idea on the yard stick and just checking. I assumed the scope was MOA and so never tested. Just because the rec. may be S-MOA, doesnt mean the knobs will be either...man i hope they match..will be checking this weekend.

And just to clarify with s-moa, with the yardstick at 100 yds, the subtends of the recticle should match up with EVERY inch line on the yard stick??
and each moa on knob should keep the center of rect on an inch line??

Yes, SMOA/IPHY should match up with the inches on a yard stick @ 100 yards.
Now a true MOA is 0.047" more than SMOA/IPHY so you'll have to dial the knobs a good bit to notice the difference at 100 yards.

The MDMOA reticules that I have seen have all been in IPHY , not really an issue just make sure the turrets track that way also .

another plus+ . I been using the MDMOA Ret. IPHY for a few years and love it .
the ( Only slight drawback ) is, If you are used to a having & demand strong/bright Lite Ret. with illuminated .
MDMOA is a little refined and faint with it's ultra-Fine etched Subtention markings .
It is not that bad but It's Ultra fine etching just does not aggressively grab the ambient glow of the scope illumination . But I never use the Illumination unless it is some pretty crappy dark lighting conditions outside & then it does great & is more than bright enough .
Anyway, I thought everyone knows that MOA is Dead & MIl-MIL is where it's @ for Reticals if you want to Range & hit anything ? ... LOL .

MDMOA on my 3.2-17X 44mm. Love it. Easy to use, easy to pick up targets at lower magnifications. Great reticle.

The RWF22 is a TMOA reticle as well. Designed for tactical competitions and Very precise for shooting small targets and ranging targets.

The CMG is decent, since it has larger hashmarks at the 5s and 10s and is un-numbered. However, I really wish the hashmarks would go all the way to the heavy lines. It doesn't clutter up the view in actual use, and would allow for accurate hold-unders if you had a lot of elevation dialed in. Also, if using the reticle for ranging, I prefer to place the crosshairs at the base of the object and range up. With only 10 MOA on the vertical line, it really limits what you can do with it.
