I'm wondering if the C2 reticle is appropriate for my use. MWS platform, 1.8-10x USOSN3N. This Is for field use not paper punching. Known and unknown close in man sized targets and longer range miling if that is practical for that style of reticle. It seems maybe designed for faster target aqusition at closer ranges? More course than the Gap? Max range would likely be 800 meters, perhaps a bit longer but not often. Basically a combat optic as a DMR/ Spotter roll. I want mil/mil, TPAL, US#3M40, EREK, Illuminted and 37mm bell. Future calibers may include 7-08, and or 6.5 creedmore for more supersonic range. I'm pretty sure of this scope just not sure on this reticle. SWFA shows this model.

I searched on forum for C2 info and didn't see anything or used bad search criteria so apologies If this has been discussed. Some of the FAQs I clicked in took me right back to the main page. Any help appreciated.

I like the JNG mil or GAP mil over the C2. Mainly because I like the .5mil increments of the JNG or GAP.
If you notice, USO has made some changes to their model names and available options. The SN3 name is gone, so you would be looking at an MR10. The US#3 knob is not an option on the MR10, only the US#1 for windage. I prefer the US#1 due to the smaller size, dust cap, and heavier clicks.

SWFA shows the #3 on the SN3/MR 10, the reason for the 3 is because it can have a stop built in and the 1 can't according to USO by email. Not a huge deal though. SWFA shows a mil gap but no TPAL I wasn't sure how improved that was over the older objective lense adjustment? Maybe SWFA is showing older stock or stock that is no longer "in stock". Thanks for reply. Ok my mistake I see gap with side focus and agree the .5 would be handy. Only diff then is #1 vs 3 windage and with windage holdover on that the 1 would work well I'd imagine.

Seems the SWFA website needs to be updated. If you hold for wind rather than dialing, the capped US#1 is better. There really is no advantage to the US#3 knob other than having a windage stop. No matter, because they only offer the US#3 on the LR17 and ER25 these days.

Thanks vkc, I considered the 3-17 but even bigger and heavier and I figured for the low power of 308 it wasn't needed. I also own a 300Ultra and figured with some 230 VLDs that scope would be more appropriate, thanks for replies. I searched a good bit online for clarity of these issues and had no luck.

I have the LMT MWS as well and have the NF 2.5-10X32 and it works well and is not to heavy. I also changed out the barrel to the 6.5 Creed and don't miss the .308 at all way more accurate at longer distances. My sig shows the 5.5-22X50 on it for some long range work
