Wondering if anyone as had to use OSO's Warranty and if they had a smooth experience? My B25 went down last week. Something came apart in the erector assembly and is now blocking the sight picture and the dialing elevation the turret binds up. I went on their website filled out a request for an RMA. Waited a few days and nothing. Called them had the call director tell me everyone was out to lunch and she would take a message. Left my info waited a day and nothing... So I called again today and left another message...

I sent in my B-25 a couple of months ago to fix a threading issue on the objective lens. It took about 3 weeks to get back to me, and now works with the sun shade.
My B-17 just started having problems today with the elevation turret. It won't let me dial anything past 3 mils. The turret binds and needs more torque than normal to continue to dial elevation. I filled out their RMA form today on their website, and haven't received a confirmation email or phone call yet. I'll keep you posted of any progress.

Hey there, Maggie from USO. Please send me a direct message with your contact information and we’ll get you squared away. Thank you.

I hate like hell to interupt anyone’s lunch break. But damn it.... ‘....waited a few days and nothing...”

the reason there are 2 USO scopes in my stable is the warranty reputation. USO loses that, then they have lost everything and anything i am interested in.

@Maggie ...... you are saving their ass right now. I’m sitting here reading this post and my blood pressure is going up, up...up....and then i see your response. YOU need a fucking raise, or some kind of recognition. I hope to never need to pester USO for work on my optics....but if i do, THANK heavens you are there. I hope to shit they are treating you right.

Angry much......

i like USO scopes in certain configurations. I think its why i have been buying up a certain older model of theirs whenever they come up for sale. just cant beat what the offer and their ruggedness.

I just sent in a er25 yesterday for a check up after 3 years of matches and hard use in all weather conditions. Had an excellent experience so far. I sent them an email, got a great response the next day and been smooth as silk. Said send it in no charge for anything. They were all gone to shot show for a week as well so that may have been why you couldnt get ahold of anyone

Keep in mind that last week was SHOT Show, and most optic, gun and tactical product companies essentially shut down/massively cut back parts of their service for the week preceeding, the week during, and several days after SHOT. OP, you probably drew the worst time to need warranty service.

I recieved an auto email from them saying they basicly were closed because everyone of them were at shot

I recently had a very positive experience with USO warranty service. Over the holidays I sent in one scope for warranty service and another for service, and both were turned around quickly. I initiated the warranty service by sending an email and Kyleigh responded the next business day asking for my phone number. She said that a tech would call me to ask about the issue I was having and he called immediately. Kyleigh responded to all of my subsequent emails promptly and made sure my issues were resolved. I've never used USO's warranty service until now but I will say that my experience was very positive and I would not hesitate to purchase more of their scopes.

Might i ask what's involved in a check up? Will they clean it? My SN-3 needs it, 10 years now. Would love a reticle change also but they don't offer that anymore.

I told them it seemed that it wasnt as clear as it used to be or compared to my lr17 but could be in my head. They replied that it could possibly be a parallax issue or a couple other things and to send it in. Even if it wasnt anything they would give it a full inspection and service. Idk, I'm not an optics expert

Ok so here's an update on my USO warranty experience so far, and just to be clear I'm not trying to bust anyone's balls over this but simply to express my frustration. The overview, my B25 went down Jan 19th, filled out a request for an RMA on their website and waited. I didn't get an email or any response back. To be fair this was around shot show so l somewhat expected a delay. I waited a few more days filled out another one. No email back or conformation. So I called them, again around the time of shot show I get it everyone is busy, I left a message and waited. This brings us to the 29th when I started this thread. Maggie reached out to me which was awesome, got her all the info, and sent it out. This was 4th on the 15th I called just to see if they even got the scope. Again no answer left a message no call back. I called three times during business hours maybe they were close who knows? I guess my beef is not being able to actually speak to someone.

So you got an RMA, had your scope shipped back on the 4th and are complaining about that? It usually takes at least 5 to 6 business days to get to Montana. I get it that you are beefed about them not getting back to you or answering the phone. Don’t get me started on my Silencerco experience. Now that’s awful!

I think the problem is people forget these types of scopes get repaired, not replaced. Look at Leupold, Schmidt, Kahles, and Minox. It takes weeks to months to have the stuff repaired. I think People forget these aren’t Cheap Chinese scopes. That’s why they just can’t send you out a new scope like Vortex and Athlon does.

Either way, I know USO will take care of you. There CS has always been top notch but I guess no company can be perfect all the time.

I had a Leupold repaired and fully inspected. From dropping the package off at UPS to it getting back to my door was six days.

I'm with the OP. I understand things break and shit happens. I'm reasonable and understand some things take time. But I need some communication. If a company constantly ghosts me with no explanation or no good reason I won't spend my money on their product again.

Sent two B25 to USO last year both times my f$&@ up... both times got them back, fully repaired and serviced within 3 weeks
Not a dime charged, which I was willing to pay since I screwed up
They may not be the most awesome and super new glass/reticle whatever new design ever but in my experience they’re reliable, track true and their CS is excellent

Read his post again. I think he’s saying that HE shipped the scope TO USO on the 4th, and hasn’t heard anything from them since. That’s nearly two weeks without any comms, which I’ll admit I’d be a little put off about as well, having a precision instrument worth more than $2K floating around somewhere.

That having been said, USO’s reputation for taking care of their customers is pretty amazing. Let’s hope that’s still true!

I guess my main complaint is the lack of communication. The last time I called, I didn't even talk to a real person. I can understand if they are busy but it's not like USO is a super small shop with limited CS ability, and I didn't just called once and decided to raise hell. I am kind of surprised that I was having such a hard time just getting a RMA, or that they didn't call me back after my massages to make sure it wasn't operator error how other manufactures do. I wasn't expecting them to ship out a new scope and was expecting at least a three week turn around.

Exactly! That's exactly what I am saying and seems this is my first USO (not my first higher end scope) I was wondering if anyone else had this experience with them?

I sent a uso I purchased used off this site into them last year for a “check up” so I could be sure that there were no issues before I put it to use. Communication from them was spot on, and the entire process was a breeze. Took 4 weeks total, and I’m sure damn near 2 weeks was travel time to and from VA-Montana. Great service, and very durable top notch optics.

Big thumbs up to US Optics!!! I got my scope back today from them. Took about 2 or 3 weeks counting shipping back and forth from Illinois to Montana. Very quick in my opinion!!

I sent it in because it just didnt seem to be as clear as when I got it. Still worked perfect though. I have shot matches with it for the last few years so its seen some action. Repair slip said he put a diffuser in it and rebuilt parallax knobs. I must say, maybe it's in my head but it is very noticeably better!!! Actually very good. Was reading small signs from about 800 yards this evening. Very happy customer.

I guess to put this thread to bed, I got my B25 back yesterday. It was a process to say the least, but I’m still looking forward to running it in a up coming local match.
