I bought a USP 45 full size about a week ago, and I gotta say that I love the thing. I never really understood the haters for saying the ergonomics on it are awful, since it feels great in my hands, but I guess everyone is different. Anyway, I was wondering for you guys out there running the same handgun, what kind of holster do you use? I know it's a big gun, and a lot of you will say it can't be concealed, but I would like to get a holster that would minimize the print as much as possible. I know it's big, but humor me. I am not exactly a big guy, I'm 5'8" at 155lbs, so take that into consideration as well.

Re: USP 45 full size holster ideas

HK is the best, I don't care what anyone else says. My carry pistol, which I trust my life to, is a USP Compact .357sig.

I have NEVER had a FTF or FTE from this thing, even with shitty WWB ammo. It eats everything I throw at it.

I got a Fist Inc. holster, in their thin or super thin Kydex. IWB but not tuckable.

I'm 5'10" 170lbs so I can't conceal a pack of cigarettes but the fist adds like 1mm, if that, to the gun when carrying.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I never heard of those kydex holsters, I'll have to take a look. I was looking at safariland holsters, but it didn't look like they had any that would conceal very well. I'm with you jellostorm, there was a lot of people trying to tell me to go other routes but I would always come back to the USP. In my eyes it's the perfect gun.

Just curious, how is kydex on the slide? Because I know that leather tends to scratch up the slide after repeated draws, and I read from another site someone got a holster with suede lining that prevented that.

It's gonna wear a little like any thing else does, but it'll take awhile before anything real noticable starts to rub. Also I agree with reclaimer1986 RCS makes a great holster but they do have a bit of a long turn around time. Got one for my USP and it took about 4 months, but it'll fit what you're looking for. I'm 5'6" 165 and I've been able to carry my USP decently concealed.
