Actually if said handgun is in your house and never leaves your house all you need is an FID. Of course you wouldnt be able to buy ammo for it but someone could give you the handgun ammo and again as long as it never left your house you would be good to go. Dave Codrea did an almost complete coverage of the entire timeline of that incident on his blog The War on Guns. It was an act of state-sponsored terror. Pure and simple. The raid and shooting of Mr. Ballew was to send out a preemptive message to the gun community and it's supporters that "we can do whatever we want and you can't stop us. Of course, you can use your freedom of speech to denounce us, but we will simply get you in another way. See, we just did. Try and stop us". It was the prelude to the Clinton years and the war crimes that were perpetrated against ordinary citizens on multiple occasions. (At one point, the 3-Percenter community was actually fearful for Mr. Codrea's safety as well because he had exposed A LOT of bad shit. Thankfully it did not snowball out of control, but we were vigilant as all hell. This was 2009-2010)
