Sidearms & Scatterguns Van comp or not ?

I am contemplating sending my Remington barrel to vang comp for there works. Does anyone have any reviews or better suggestions. Mainly home defence. Not really for duty use anymore. 18 in with xs night sight.

Hans does great work. There was a slight reduction in recoil, faster recovery and more consistent patterns.

I'm very pleased with my 870 built and sold by Van Comp. I am not aware of anyone else that does similar work and other builders have Vang Comp do the work on the guns which they sell under their own brand.

I re-configured a Wilson Scattergun Technologies 18" 870 to a 14" SBS with a number of part upgrades as well; factory barrel sent to Vang Comp for extending forcing cone and porting. Very pleased with accuracy; offhand target results of 5 shot group @ 25 meters shown.

Competition - hans makes great guns

Home defense- the pattern is too tight

Yotes- Maybe- I think I would want chokes

I'm not an LEO policy maker trying to keep all pellets on a D bag at 30 yards....

My home is not that big where I need Flight Control wads and a tight pattern
