I have a Bighorn Tl3 that currently has a 308 barrel on it, I just picked up a 6.5x47 barrel off the px and am also going to get a 223 barrel as well. My intent is to have all the calibers and keep my consumables for reloading to a minimum, I'm using the last 2 lbs or so of 4064 and br2 primers in my 308 after that I was planning on picking up a 8 lb keg of Varget (when/if I find one) and a couple thousand 205m primers. This should work right? I've researched a bit and it seems the 6.5x47 and 223 can use Varget with good results. Any info? Thanks.

308 is large primers where 6.5x47 and 223 will be small.

Varget is very commonly used in 308 and 223. Its not quite as popular in the 6.5 stuff but a lot of people do use it

Right, prob should have mentioned I'm going to switch 308 brass as well to 308 small primer from lapua. I've noticed @padom says he uses varget in his 6.5x47 loads.

37.6-38.0 gn varget in my 6.5x47 .2 inch groups
44.5 varget 308 .2-.3 inch groups
Cc1 br-4 primer
Only problem is finding it
