Is anyone else having trouble finding Varget? I had an order that was accepted and "filled" by Midway and then about two weeks later I got an email saying the order was cancelled and my money was refunded minus the donation to the NRA with no explanation of why...........

Stuff is sold out all over the place, but it's trickling in.
Unfortunately, when it does come into stock, people post about it and it's gone in 60 seconds.
Varget is always in short supply.
Try RL-15, IMR-4064, IMR-4895, VV-150, VV-140, AA-2495 and AA-2520, for starters.

22-250........38 grains of H380; have been using it for 20 years and it produces 3700'/s plus or minus 10. The guys at Cabelas said they have a 100 ton shipment of various powders from Australia sitting at the docks getting held up by customs......I guess that's one way to screw the pro-gun crowd. I didn't realize a good chunk of the Hodgon extreme stuff came from down under.

Pet loads 34gr N140 and a 50gr Vmax in the 22-250 and 24gr N120 behind a 40gr Vmax in the 223. The 250 load is fairly mild(3600+ or -) but the 223 load is on the hot side.

We run into this quite a bit in my business. Sometimes you get held up, most times you don't. We usually plan for 6 weeks to clear customs. Probably just unlucky to get held up.
