So I'm getting 2772 fps with 1x fired BR brass with 30.2gr of varget under 105 hybrids. It seems a little slow but any more, I'll see pressure signs. I've got a pound of 4895 and 8208 I could try. Should I expect better velocity with those 2 and which of the 3 are the most temp stable?

what is your barrel length. 4895 and 8208 are known to be temp stable but varget is probably the most stable. 4895 and varget are made using the same coating process for stability. 4895 might show more velocity in some situations. I would not expect much more fps unless you have a 30+ barrel.

I am using 8208 with a 26” barrel and a 95 tmk right at 3000 fps. I really like the 8208 because it flows so well from my lee powder measure. Another powder to try would be Imr 4166.

26" barrel. I tried 95tmks and 4166 and couldn't get a good group with acceptable SDs. Idk why my shit is so slow. I've got 300 rounds down the tube so I know it isnt that.

I have seen better groups and velocity using H4895 than varget but that is just my experience, others have probably seen the opposite. the difference in temp stability between the two is minor. 8208 also shoots well in 6br, but with a 105 you will probably see pressure at a lower velocity than either varget or H4895.

You might need a long drop tube, and maybe another 30 thou longer freebore, but I bet R-16 would get you more speed.

I know in my barrel there is a high node at 2920 fps, that's not easy to get to in a 26" barrel!

Or get your chamber redone to 6mmBRA.
