Night Vision VECTRONIX NITE SPOT 50 CLIP ON

Re: VECTRONIX NITE SPOT 50 CLIP ON

The system uses a Photonis XR-5 tube which, technically speaking, is a Gen 2 tube. However, it does perform at very high specifications. It is just the way that it is built that technically classifies if as a Gen 2. The XR-5 is a fairly low-yield tube that usually costs far more than a weapons-grade Gen 3 tube from Excellis or L3.

Generally speaking, the Vectronix systems are top notch. However, I was only issued their laser range finders. Never any of their thermal or I2 gear. They are systems that are made with a lesser generation tube and exportable specs...you be the judge.

Hope that helps.
