Yep, their stuff is top notch and PLRF gear is built like a tank, puzzling why only 1 year warranty. I can only guess an operator accidentally dropping his kit during a jump would be bad news and costly for the company. I've seen it happen, and I've also seen companies step up and repair/replace stuff outside of "warranty."
Being a secondary purchaser may very well come into play. Give them a call, a phone call is cheap when compared to the price, even used.
