Are you guys seeing a big change in velocity when shooting suppressed? And if you have, how does it change your POI? On my rifle it moves the POI down about 1 MOA. Didn’t know if this is coincidence, the norm if it changes velocity or harmonics.

I have a heavy suppressor and a not so heavy barrel, my shift is about 1.5 mil down from unsuppressed. I always shoot suppressed so it doesn't matter to me. I tested my gun with and without suppressor, groups were the same size, just different locations.

My shift is a little less than 1 moa down.. this is on a heavy Varmint barrel and ultra 7 .30” on the end.. its always repeatable and i always shoot suppressed.

I only run direct thread across all platforms, so I cannot comment on POI shift. When I first ran the ASR mount and brakes, yes... there was a shift, but it was minor (nothing over a Mil).

By shift I mean... shooting unsuppressed with the brake then suppressed via the asr mount. There will be a difference between the two with harmonics.

I have only see one brake mounted suppressor not have a huge shift between brake to can and that is TBAC.

When I first started making the Ops Inc suppressors, the owner wanted a group shot with each suppressor and each target marked and saved(was a pain in the ass). I had a nice spot where I could shoot at 60 yards next to the shop, so that's where I did the testing. .6" out at 4:30 was the norm(right handed), .6 out at between 7 and 7:30 with a lefty shooter. If it shot high or any where else, there was an issue. A brush or run the tap through would usually bring it in. The heavier the suppressor, the further from zero it would shoot. Just an observation from shooting a few thousand suppressors.

I had a TRG-42 Lapua and early AAC SS Titan. It weighed something stupid like 40 ounces. 5/8-24 muzzle direct thread. Stock barrel shortened about an inch. Shot was 6moa straight down with the can vs the muzzle brake. Same every time.

Holy crap. I use a YHM 338 can on my TRG-42 300WM, and it too drops, but not 6moa.

All my rifles have been consistent (per the rifle), but the shift is different per gun. My old 700, was 1.4 mils, while my AI was 0.3.

Velocity so far has all been within my reloading, so I have not experienced a gain above 20fps.

Ditto here on the shift to 4:30 with a can on the end of a .223 Tikka Varmint, shooting right handed. A little less than a mil delta...Dakota Varminter 3.0
