I agree. Someone sent it to me. From the small size and guality of the one I received it may have been a cell phone pic. It may have been Photoshopped but still cool.

Its not shopped, its legit. It was taken by a local Delta Air employee on his way to work, appeared in the Minneapolis Star Tribune in July. The photographer not only got the pic, but went to quite a bit of trouble to make sure the vets widow got the picture and he got a really cool story about Sgt Ruch. Look it up in the star trib the entire story is really cool...

Its not shopped, its legit. It was taken by a local Delta Air employee on his way to work, appeared in the Minneapolis Star Tribune in July. The photographer not only got the pic, but went to quite a bit of trouble to make sure the vets widow got the picture and he got a really cool story about Sgt Ruch. Look it up in the star trib the entire story is really cool...

I can't believe some of the comments on the website. There are so many people with zero respect and national pride. That is a shame. I won't go into why that is as that will just be too long but it saddens me as a Vet to see our nation's pride level go to the crapper.

I'm a Vet and I can not see any posts in here that I would find offensive. I hope mine has not offended you.
Let me just clarify that by saying "it's a shame to see so many souls gone through war" is in no way meant to be disrespectful at all!!! I have nothing but respect and think the utmost of men and women who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for their countries. I have lost 1 good mate and many others that I knew during this ICAT and our participation. Having said that, these men and women did not die in vein but at the same time left husbands and wives and baby boys and girls behind without a parent. It's Terribly sad and I think a shame. Now do not take my Aussie slang " a shame " as a bad thing against the individual it's my way of saying that it's shit that these poor souls are gone so unexpectedly!

When you hit the link above and go to the original article and go to the bottom of the page you will read some of the stupid comments. If anyone on this forum was having negative comments for a military cemetery I think I would question their sanity. The majority people on this site are vets world-wide and that draws on our respect for each other. Cheers to you mate.

This photo was taken in the Ft. Snelling cemetery in Minneapolis, very near the Mississippi river. It's pretty easy to go there or to nearby Minnehaha Falls park and see bald eagles, more typically flying or sitting in higher trees but sometimes sitting lower.
The photographer had about 60 photos of eagles in the cemetery that day, and the photographers at the local paper said this photo is consistent with all the others. Since it was published, the Department of Veteran's Affairs, Arlington National Cemetery, the 101st Airborne Screaming Eagles, and a bunch of other organizations have requested use of the photo.
In short, quite likely a real photo, and a cool one at that.
