Hi y'all. I moved this from "Scopes" 'cause I thought I'd have better luck here. I'm looking for some advice/suggestions on buying a vintage scope. I've looked at Kahles and Hensoldts as well as a repro of the WWII ZF39 4x, but any other suggestions would be a help. Here's a list of what I'm looking for:
Country of origin: Germany (preferred, others OK)
Era: 1918 thru 1935 (repro OK)
Rifle: Mauser Gew 98 sporter (9.3x62mm)
Mount: Kar98k side rail or double claw mount (maybe single claw)
Tube diameter: 1" or 26.5mm (mounts are sized for the latter & include shims)
Type: Fixed power (variable OK)
Magnification: 4x-6x (8x OK)
Reticle: German #1 or German #4
Thanks,
Son of Dorn
