Sam, you around? Can you verify this? </div></div>

Those are the correct specs. The reason for the differences are because of the different magnifications, so we made some slight adjustments between the models in order to try and optimize the reticle thicknesses based on the magnifications.

Re: Viper prs scopes

I applaud Sam for listening to end users in the development of his product, and RK for calling it like he saw it.

orkan, your first post does come off a little poorly, "much anticipated" is far from a guarantee that the product (especially prototypes) will be without flaw.
I especially like honest objective feeback on highly anticipated items. Were you around for the first generation of IOR 3-18's, PR Heritages, Falcons and others lately?

Please post your review of the Razor, its another one that has great stuff said about it, but has a very small number out there using it. If possible run a few comps with it and see how it does in the dirt and haste that comes along with it (stuff RK's rather experienced with).

With an EBR3 MRAD reticle, or maybe a re-worked EBR2, and a little better exit pupil, I'd probably buy one just to test out for a year. Hell, even as is with an EBR3, I'm very tempted. <span style="color: #CC0000"><span style="font-weight: bold">The reticle looked good, albeit a little thick, in the PST. </span></span></div></div>

rksimple,

Would you please go into more detail on the thickness of the reticle? Possibly be able to give a comparison??

Thanks for the info in your original post. </div></div>

The reticle thickness in the EBR3 is .06 mils. I personally like .04 mils, a la P4Fine and Gen II XR. Its not too thick as to obscure the target, but not so thin as to lose it in dark or busy backgrounds. </div></div>

rksimple,

Thanks for the reply. I am upgrading my optics this year and would really like to be able to purchase a Razor. So in reality, I am really liking the PST line of scopes (because it is in my price range). I will wait until I can handle one before I make my final decision. The honest feedback on the PST line from you has answered some of my questions. I realize there may be issues in a new product, but with Sam@Vortex standing behind his products and answering all the questions posted on the forum makes me more at ease if I decide to pull the trigger on a PST.

Thanks all
