Rifle Scopes Viper reticle

How does the v-plex reticle compare to other manufacturers reticles? I have a 4-12x40 and the reticle seems thicker than my Sightron Bigsky and even it is larger than I like. I was just wondering if anybody uses the v-plex for target shooting and how well it does. Maybe my technique needs to be adjusted to hold the same POA every time with thicker reticles.
