There is a good chance the law might be over turned, but it hasn't been yet. This is for handguns, you can buy longguns at will. I haven't heard about the concealed carry, where did you get that information from?

Radio news report. With the Virginia senate, and house, both controlled by Replicans, and a Rep govenor and Atty General, it stands a good chance. MacDonald, the Gov., also instituted a program th have firearm safety courses in the grade schools. Dont know how its caught on. Seems like a good idea. Lots of kids get hurt just because they havent been taught gun safety.

The one handgun a month thing is crap. It is actually one handgun every 30 days, we still could not buy one Feb.29th and then again Mar 1 as so many people thought. Completely uselss and sad and I daggone sure hope we get rid of the CCW necessity, that'd be great.

The Gun a month rule could have possiblities.
It could be like the Book a month club, 12 guns for 1 cent, if you promise to buy a gun a month for the next two years.

I remember taking hunter safty when I was in the 9th grade during Gym Class, I'd like to see that started again.

For those who don't know, the one gun a month rule doesn't apply if you hold a valid CCW. Buy as many as you want with that.
That said, ANY reversal of bad gun law is good.
VA ain't a bad place to be lately........

It sure isn't. Grade school hunter safety is a good idea. Most kids that hunt start in 4th or 5th grade and most of the parents are to lazy to take them.

Was taught in Tazewell Co... I still remember the clip photos of shoot or don't shoot that was on the test...(knowing what was behind your target).. Still have my certificate.
Man, we even had CMP M1's and had the Shooting Club in High School and shot on the Football Field! Along with KVG's, FFA, 4H.. everything..

Virginia is a GREAT place to live.
-Not as big as Texas.
-Not as diverse a California.
-But there is something here that, at least to me, defies description. The closet I can come is to say "A sense of Honor."
Any of you other boys care to chime in on that one.

AFAIK there is no restriction on number of cans per month. The only restriction was on quantity of handguns and as has been stated there were numerous exceptions to the rule.

One gun per month is a gun registration scheme. How can the government enforce one gun per month unless they keep up with what guns you buy?
