Anyone have one of the volquartsen 10/22's?
Thinking of buying my first 10/22 for my kids, wanting to get a nice one and wanting it to be light and accurate.
Any info is greatly appreciated....

They make some of the best 10/22 out there. Kinda expensive and at times can be hard to get or a long wait. Take a look at the Kidd guns. I think they are built better then the VQ and are about the same price. http://www.coolguyguns.com/

I have a Volquartsen Superlight in 17 HMR. Very light very accurate and very well built.

Also have a 17hmr with a carbon wrapped barrel and love it. Got it from Steve @ Varmint Extreme who was a pleasure to deal with.

I just bought my kid a Magnum Research 22. It has an aluminum receiver, carbon wrapped barrel and collapsible stock that is easily adjusted to her small frame. Have not scoped or shot it yet so dont know how well it shoots but it is amazing how light it feels in your hand

I have a VQ barrel on a standard 10/22 and it shoots quite well. It is not a competative benchrest shooter but it is a hell of a hunter. Super light and accurate enough for rabbits out to 100.

I have a Volquartsen in .22 mag. It is very accurate and reliable. I am using the Volquartsen McMillan stock. The trigger is very good. If you are looking for a fun, quality, accurate 10/22 clone I recommend them.

don't have the gun, but i do have the barrel and trigger, and it is a world of improvement over factory. very accurate

i would be very careful w them. i bought a 10/22 from them in for my daughter in Sept for Christmas and it didn't arrive till well after x-mas. also their painted stock will scratch extremely easy.

accuracy has been ok, but nothing to be excited about.

many better choices out there, at much lower cost.
