Rifle Scopes Vortex 34mm ring height.

Does anyone know what reference points Vortex uses to measure their ring height?
In the Q&A section of the Vortex website there are many recommended ring heights for customer’s rifles.
I have a custom build with Atlas Action and Med Plama Bartlein barrel. Would prefer to measure myself to keep scope as low as possible.
I presume they measure from picatinny rail to the scope center line.
