Rifle Scopes Vortex 3x magnifier

I was comparing the vortex 3x magnifier to the eotech at cabelas the other day and was surprised to see the vortex was clearer. Plus it comes with a fts mount. Plus it's half the price.

Anyone use one?

I use one with the ADM mount. I like it and don't see the need to spend 3x the amount to get the EOTech or Aimpoint branded magnifiers.

I have the newer version, for under $200 it's a great item. The transition from the ring type mounts to the proprietary base makes sense and Vortex did good with theirs. The ergonomics are great when rolling the magnifier on or off and the optic clarity is more than acceptable. My only negative note is the slop or play in the hinge, it really should lock solid, but it does not.

I havent looked through the eotech but i own the vortex. Im not happy with the eye relief as it is too close. i often wondered if it was just mine and if i should send it back.
