SWFA has the older 1" 6-24x50 Crossfire for $99, or can get a smaller sightmark 3-9x40mm Mildot for $99. The problem is, is that this will be used in a quick review of LaRue's new LT-104-VFZ mount which will be 30mm, to use the Crossfire I will be using 30mm inserts.

I really dont need the magnification of the vortex but I do like the changeable parralax, but not the size. The sightmark is 30mm, but I have heard sightmark scope POI move between different magnification levels.

I also found a sightmark fixed 6x for $120 which supposedly will let more light in

The three scopes

VORTEX
Sightmark3-9
Sightmark 6x

Re: Vortex Crossfire & Sightmark scopes

Cant say anything about the Sightmark but two friends have the Vortex Crossfires, they bought the Vortex name but as good as the higher end Vortex products are the Crossfire is a very poor typical Chinese scope, one of them failed the first time out, the replacement was also junk, spend more $$ for a better scope if you can.

Re: Vortex Crossfire & Sightmark scopes

They have put the vortex viper 2-7x32 on sale/clearance for 170. It looks like a much much better scope than the cross fire and might fit your needs. As soon as I get a couple of money orders for some things I have sold I am going to be buying one.

I'd be all over that but its 30mm =(.

Im basically looking for 30mm tube, $100-200, and mil dot if possible

Im going to take a gamble on the sightmark 6x fixed, i found it for $120 shipped. If its sucks you guys can laugh at me all you want. I'm hoping that since its a fixed power it will be better optics wise then variable in the same price range
