Like the title says, is the HD upgrade worth the money over the originals?

With so many superior options available by other mfg's why the Vortex Diamondbacks? Kowa, Leupold, Athlon, Meopta, etc all have great options in, around & under $300.00

Correction, I did do a Google search of "best hunting binoculars under 300". The first ten results all comeback with the V-DB on all their list, none of which had the mfgs you mentioned.

That’s because everybody that hunts thinks Vortex is the best for them and Vortex likes the publicity so they are more than happy to send out optics. Do you think these reviewers reach out to Kowa and Meopta? Probably not. Doug also doesn’t sell Vortex anymore so there’s that.

Step outside the box and visit birding forums and see what’s being used. Not every piece of glass they use is a Euro that costs $2000.
