Selling my Vortex Fury HD 5000 AB rangefinder binoculars. I used them on one NM mule deer hunt last year and haven’t had them out since. Binoculars are in excellent condition. All the covers and straps/harness are still in the packaging. Asking $1050 shipped.

Not sure what you’re trying to start but you dang sure didn’t send me any money because I never gave you my payment information! Here’s screen shots of our dms. You asked me what payment types I take and I haven’t gotten any other messages since.

Please report it. You did send me your number in a dm but I continued the conversation in the dms and never texted you. That number is a 706 area code…which shows from Georgia. I told you I live in Texas so that right there would be a red flag

Hurtbringer dont respond to this guy I am gonna have to report it. I sent a PM with my cell number and he responded. So I sent him the money for the binos. Now he is saying it isnt him. I have all the receipts. I haven't had any problems buying or selling on the hide till now.

That’s not my name! Todd Hibner is my name and has been since I was born. I have no idea who Mitchell is.

This is why you shouldn’t send funds for large purchases with friends/family.

Someone could have easily hacked your account and gotten your phone number..

That bullshit they could have easily hacked your account as well. Still reporting to my credit card company, pay pal and snipershide. I sent you a private pm with my name and cell number. Until that I had never had an issue being scammed on here. You even told me you would take paypal.

Above is where your account responded to me, with using PayPal. If my account had been hacked, it seems like you would have been the person responding not some guy your have never heard of

Yes I do take PayPal and Venmo but you paid someone that’s not me.

It’s not bullshit either.. someone could have hacked either one of us and we don’t know which person was hacked but I can assure you I didn’t scam you. I’m sure the admins can look at my profile and tell you that I’m not Mitchell whatever that last name is. Like I said I told you I’m from Texas and that number is from Georgia…also I kept messaging you on here after you gave me your phone number because I’m not giving my number to anyone until we are for sure making a deal. My phone number starts with 512 area code. You can also ask anyone in my feedback what my name is and they will tell you it’s Todd

No sir. I told you I was the one responding in the messages on this website. I told you exactly what town in NM I was from and then I told you I now live near Fort Worth TX.

Someone with a Georgia number contacted you and you paid them but again that’s not me

Yeah I got that, the fact that I sent him my phone number. Directly to his account on here and he didn't respond and says I never responded is wierd. Especially when I got scammed by supposedly someone else. I clicked on his name in the original posted and started a new conversation with hybridhunternm. Not sure how he could have seen I sent jim my cell number and never responded. I am sending him money not the other way around so, him being secretive with his cell number while selling an item doesn't really make any sense. He isnt selling money

Look I feel bad that someone scammed you but I can assure you that it wasn’t me. Someone hacked one of our accounts and got your phone number. I don’t see why you didn’t respond to me on here when I told you I take Venmo and PayPal and I think it’s odd you didn’t question the scammer about paying friends/family

Maybe the moderators can tell who got hacked but it doesn’t change the fact that you didn’t send me any payments

Secondly because someone text me after I gave my number. Not sure why if you are selling something, giving someone your cell number is that big of a deal. Seems more secure than the accounts on here. Like I said I have been on here for years buying and selling without a single problem, friend and family is the norm, venmo is also common. People dont want to pay the fees. I am not sure why you didn't respond that you didn't want to give out your cell after I sent mine. Seems weird you just ignored that in the messages.

I’m not afraid to give out my number but I have no reason to give it out unless I know you’re buying something or you want to talk about the item for sale. Sorry I don’t just give my number out to everyone that asks questions about something I have for sale

You’re having a hard time taking responsibility for a poor decision. Maybe you spend this time to call your bank instead of trying to bash on the guy helping you out

I’d also encourage everyone to turn on the two factor auth

Done with the forums like this. Hard to believe that people on here dont understand that I sent him a private message with my number and he didn't respond to say. hey I prefer to communicate on through PMs only and some how my number got leaked to a random scammer. That isnt at all suspicious to any of you? Seems like there isnt a person on here really trying to help. They are just getting involved in a matter not at all their business.
