Vortex Razor Gen 2 vs Gen 3 after the turret fix?

I have a gen2 I ran for 2 match seasons, loved that scope, so reliable, and will always keep it.
Picked up a EO demo gen3 couple months ago and ran its first match last weekend, felt just like the old one. Not sure if it was upgraded or came that way.
To me, was the same audible clicks, same feel, no slippage, just a much easier zero process and better reticle.

Vortex "upgraded" the turrets very soon after initial launch. Sent in a couple of early Gen 3s for turret upgrade and had them back in hand in just over a week. So turret issue was short lived and rectified quickly.
Gen 3 is a much nicer scope as one would expect with a newer generation.
Better optically and much better zero mechanism are the big upgrades IMO. Other nice upgrades are Parallax down to 25 and higher magnification. Having said all of that, now that the Gen 3 is out there are killer deals on used Gen 2s which are still great scopes. Win win

I just got a several-months-old, gummy-turret gen-3 6-36x56 back after sending it in for what turned out to be a loose lens (erector was replaced). A buddy has a new one whose turrets feel as crisp as my one remaining gen-2 4.5-27x56, so I requested that the turrets be examined as well.
My gen-3's turrets now feel just as "clicky" and crisp as the gen-2 turrets.
Bottom line is new gen-3 scopes feel as crisp as gen-2s, and the early-release scopes now have a fix. If it's ever convenient, I'll send my other, older gen-3 in for the current turret fix - I sent it in not long after I got it because the turrets were so stiff and gummy, and it came back barely better than when it left. Now they do have a fix. The difference in feel makes the inconvenience worthwhile, and turnaround is a week or ten days after they get it.

1/2 on topic here - is the Razor Gen 2 still one of the best contenders in the $1000 to $1200 range with so many newer offerings on the market?

I was a bit worried about the mag range potentially making the reticle at 10-12x less usable than it would be on the gen 2, but nobody seems to have really complained about it.

I have found that the field of view is larger on the gen3. I run 18 power on the gen 3vs 15 on the gen 2. FOV seems the same. You’ll like that gen3
