I'm planning to pick-up a used Vortex Razor HD Gen II 4.5-27x56 from the equipment exchange section.
I've been researching the reticle choices, and it seems like there are quite a few reticle choices to choose from.
What's the most popular reticle choice for Razor Gen II?
I'm shooting max 850yds and using the Strelok Pro Ballistic calculator.
My rifle is MPA BA 6.5 and shooting mostly bench.

The 7C or the 2C both work great. The 2C has been discontinued but I like them and you still see them for sale. The 7C is nice with the small center dot and .2 mil marks on the horizontal. Unless you like Horus reticles, which I don't, then those will be your two choices. Take a look at both and see which you like better.

Oh... I've heard about that place during my research here at Hide.
The price for 7C is listed at $1999... before I call them, what's the typical discount we're getting from them?

So it's best to discuss with them in private because MSRP and MAP are things that are enforced by a brand to keep others from undercutting on price for competitive edge.

In other words, it's cool to say I got a great deal but mentioning specifics and exactly what it was is usually not ok. Trust the advice of a couple guys and just call 😁

Oh... understood!

Since I change out my scope quite often I need to factor in its resale value.
Should I choose MOA or MRAD version?
I've used them both and don't have a real preference.

Most here would say MRAD (and they are 100% right MRAD is life), but some people like MOA.

I think MRAD is easier, quicker and more intuitive reducing error, but plenty of people run MOA and it works.

Really is personal preference and with cheap plentifully ballistic calcs, any will work for you. A mil is roughly 3.4 MOA.

Go for MIL. And since you change optics often, the Razor Gen II's hold their values pretty well.

I still can't believe when I used to use Mil-Dot where the reticle was MIL and the turrets were MOA. Oh man the strange old days.
